What Artificial Turf Costs In Utah County
Here is the honest version. Nobody can price your yard from a website. Companies that post a number usually change it once they see the site. So instead of a fake number, here is exactly what moves the price, plus a free written estimate for your actual yard.
Free on-site consultation and a written estimate. We measure. We scope it. You get a real number in writing. No deposit, and no obligation to book anything.

Why the cheapest quote is not always the cheapest job
Halo Turf installs in California, Arizona, and Texas. Utah County is the newest branch. Same brand, same turf, and the same install standard.
So compare us on the things you can check before you sign anything.
The 15-year product warranty, with the tiers printed
- Years 1 through 8
- 100%
- Years 9 through 12
- 50%
- Years 13 through 15
- 25%
Covers significant fading, breakdown, or degradation from natural light exposure. It does not cover matting, misuse, or chemical damage. This is a product warranty. You get it in writing at closeout.
When you compare quotes, ask every company for their warranty terms in writing. Do that before you compare the prices. A cheaper install with no written warranty is not cheaper.
What the turf is made of
- 100% USA-made.
- Lead-free.
- PFAS-free.
- UV stabilized.
Turf quality is one of the six things that moves your price. It is the one that decides whether the yard still looks right in year eight.

The Utah Winter Build Standard
The base is where quotes really differ. It is the part you cannot check after the turf is down.
If a quote is far lower than every other quote, this list is usually where the money came out.
Base depth. Dug and built to depth for your soil and your slope.
Compaction. Compacted in lifts. Loose base settles. Settling is what makes a yard look wavy after one winter.
Drainage. Slope and drainage built for snowmelt. We show it on your plan before we start.
Seams. Cut and secured to hold through freeze-thaw movement.
Infill. Spread and power-broomed so blades stand up and the surface stays stable.

The six things that drive artificial turf cost
No order to these. Every one of the six moves the number on its own, and your yard decides how much.
Square footage.
The biggest single factor, and the one you can guess yourself. The cost per square foot usually comes down as the job gets bigger. The setup cost gets spread across more area.
Base prep and how much has to come out.
A bare dirt yard is the cleanest job we do. A grown-in lawn means sod tear-out, hauling, and sprinkler heads to deal with. A yard with old concrete, roots, or rock costs more to open up than one with just grass on it.
Drainage.
Some yards drain fine with slope alone. Others need drainage work built into the base. That is most true when the low point of the yard is against the house. In Utah that is a snowmelt question as much as a rain question. It is not the place to save money.
The turf itself.
Pile height, face weight, color blend, and backing all change the price per square foot. A pet run and a front yard show lawn are not the same product. We bring samples. You choose with your hands, not off a photo.
Site access.
If we can get gear and material into the yard through a wide gate, the job is faster. If it all has to come through a narrow side yard, or over a finished patio by hand, that is real labor. It shows up in the number.
Anything else in the plan.
Edging, borders, a paver transition, a small dog run inside a bigger lawn, decorative rock. Each one is scoped on its own. You see what it adds, then you keep it or cut it.
Why we do not post a price per square foot
Straight answer. You came here for a number, and we would rather explain than dodge.
A per-square-foot price on a website is a marketing number. It is quoted against the easiest possible yard. Then the real number arrives after the site visit. It is higher. You have probably had that happen with a contractor before.
We are not going to do that to you. A bare lot in Eagle Mountain and a grown-in lawn in Orem are two completely different jobs. Posting a rate would mean quoting a number we would have to walk back on half the yards we look at.
What we will do is come measure, scope it right, and put the real number in writing for free. If the number is not in your range, you have lost nothing. We will tell you straight rather than push.

Where our projects start
Our projects start at $2,500. That is a floor and not a rate for your yard. Where your number lands comes down to the six things above.
If your job comes in under where we start, a handyman or a small landscaper is the better call. We will say so on the phone instead of sending a truck out to sell you.

What your written estimate includes
You get it in writing. Compare it against any other quote, line by line. That is the whole point of putting it on paper.
- Measured square footage, not a guess off a satellite photo.
- The turf spec we suggest, and why we picked it for your yard.
- The base build details, including drainage.
- Anything extra in the plan, itemized so you can add or cut it.
- The 15-year product warranty terms.
- Financing terms if you want them.
- A timeline.
$0 down, 12 months interest-free
$0 down and 12 months interest-free, on approved credit, on qualified projects.
That is the offer, and those are the terms. No deferred interest. No rate that jumps at month thirteen inside a footnote. If you would rather pay cash, that is fine too. It does not change what we quote you.
We are not going to print a monthly payment figure here. Your monthly number depends on your project and your approved terms. We will do that math with you against your real quote.
Cost questions, answered straight
Because a website price is quoted against the easiest yard. Then it goes up after the site visit. We do not want to start that way with you. The price of your job depends on square footage, how much has to come out of the ground, drainage, the turf you pick, and how hard the yard is to get into. We measure it. Then we put the real number in writing, for free, before you owe us anything. The one number we will give you up front is our floor. Projects start at $2,500.
