What we can actually prove on day one
Halo Turf installs in California, Arizona, and Texas. Utah County is the newest branch. Same brand, same turf, and the same install standard.
Here is what you can check before you sign anything.
The 15-year product warranty, with the tiers printed
- Years 1 through 8
- 100%
- Years 9 through 12
- 50%
- Years 13 through 15
- 25%
Covers significant fading, breakdown, or degradation from natural light exposure. It does not cover matting, misuse, or damage from chemicals. This is a product warranty. You get the full document at closeout. You can read it before you sign anything.
Most companies in this county say “industry leading warranty” and stop there. We would rather print the tiers. Then you can compare.
What the turf is made of
- 100% USA-made.
- Lead-free.
- PFAS-free.
- UV stabilized. That is what the fade coverage is written against.
If you have kids or dogs on the yard every day, ask every installer about this part. Ask them for it in writing.

The Utah Winter Build Standard
Anybody can roll out turf. The base is the job. In Utah, the base is what gets tested. Freeze-thaw cycling moves ground. Snowmelt has to go somewhere.
Here is the checklist we build to on every yard.
Base depth. Sub-base dug and built to depth for your soil and your slope. Not a one-size number pulled off a spec sheet.
Compaction. Base material compacted in lifts, not dumped and rolled once. Loose base settles into low spots after the first winter.
Drainage. Slope and drainage built for snowmelt volume, not just rain. We show it to you on the plan before we start.
Seams. Seam work cut and secured to hold through freeze-thaw movement. Seams are where a cheap install shows itself in year three.
Infill. Infill spread and power-broomed. That sets the blades upright and keeps the surface stable.

What artificial turf installation actually looks like
Five steps, start to finish. Most whole-yard jobs run a few days once we are on site.
Free on-site consultation. We come out and measure. We look at how water moves through your yard. We show you turf samples in different piles, weights, and colors. You hold the real product before you decide.
Written scope. You get square footage, the turf spec we suggest and why, the base build details, and the warranty terms. It is in writing. Compare it against any other quote, line by line.
Site prep and base build. Tear-out and digging, weed barrier, base material built and compacted. Slope and drainage set.
Turf, seams, and infill. Tight cuts around beds and hardscape. Seams secured, infill spread, power brooming.
Cleanup and walk-through. We clean up and walk the yard with you. Then we hand over care instructions and your warranty documents.
Full lawn replacement, front yard, back yard, or both
Most of what we do is plain artificial grass installation on a yard that already has grass. That means tearing out the sod. It means dealing with the sprinkler heads in the way. Then we build a proper base where the old lawn was.
A back yard is usually where people start. It is the part the family actually uses, and the part that looks worst by August. Front yards work too. A lot of homeowners do the back one year and the front the next.
If you want to do the whole lot at once, say so at the consult. We will scope it that way. It is almost always cheaper per square foot to do it in one visit than in two.

Synthetic grass installation built for a Utah winter
Here is the honest answer to the question everybody asks. Snow melts off it and drains through, same as rain does. You can shovel it. It does not go dormant. It does not need re-seeding in April. It looks the same in January as it does in July.
That only stays true if the base under it was built right. Water that cannot drain freezes. Frozen ground moves. Turf laid on a lazy base ends up with low spots and lifted seams by year two. So the Winter Build Standard above is the part of our quote we would most want you to compare against any other quote.

Snow melts off it
You can shovel it. Most people let it melt.
Built for snowmelt
Slope and drainage sized for melt volume, not just rain.
Base built in lifts
Compacted in layers, not dumped and rolled once.
No spring re-seed
It does not go dormant. No re-seeding in April.
Turf installation near you, across Utah County
We install in Lehi, Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain, American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Orem, Provo, and Elk Ridge. That is the whole service area. We are not spread across the state. That is the point.
Utah County is the fourth Halo Turf market. Jared Hoffenberg runs it, and he lives and works here.
$0 down and 12 months interest-free, on approved credit, on qualified projects.
The terms are exactly that. We are not going to bury a rate change in fine print. We are not going to call a standing program a limited-time offer.
Questions we get asked
It depends on the size of the yard, how much prep the site needs, and the turf you pick. We do not post a price per square foot. The honest number changes yard to yard. A number on a website is usually a number that gets walked back later. We measure your yard and give you a written estimate for free, with no deposit.
